The Conway Hotel is a proposed 69-key boutique hotel that will bring a distinctive hospitality destination to the heart of downtown Conway, South Carolina. Located along Kingston Street at the edge of Kingston Lake, the project occupies a prominent waterfront site within the city's historic core.
Ramos Architecture + Design (RAD) is serving as Lead Design Architect, in collaboration with Integrated Building Design as Architect of Record.
The architectural design draws inspiration from Conway's historic downtown, blending contemporary hospitality with the scale, rhythm, and material character of its surrounding context. A signature street-level restaurant with outdoor dining activates Kingston Street, strengthening the pedestrian experience and enhancing the public realm.
The building's L-shaped form embraces a landscaped courtyard that serves as the hotel's primary outdoor amenity—a flexible gathering space for guests with views of the waterfront and a tranquil urban garden atmosphere.
Thoughtfully integrated into its historic setting, the Conway Hotel is designed to reinforce downtown Conway's continued evolution as a vibrant destination for visitors and residents alike.
The project development team is led by Joe Kennan of Kingston Hospitality LLC. The Conway Hotel marks the third hospitality project completed in collaboration with Joe, following the award-winning Spectator Hotel and The George Hotel, reflecting a longstanding partnership built on shared design values and successful project delivery.
Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2026, with completion expected in 2028.
